Visibility of System Status

Definition : The design should always keep users informed about what is going on, through appropriate feedback within a reasonable amount of time.

  • On click to flight button instant feedback is presented to the user taking to flight search screen
  • Proper indication of present state in navigation section shows visibility of system status

• Filter screen

  

  • After selecting filters no idea of result availability (no of results available on selected filter), which shows lack of visibility of status
  • Improvement : provide the no of results available when filters are apply [ex. Filter(67 results)]

Match between System and the Real World

The design should speak the users' language. Use words, phrases, and concepts familiar to the user, rather than internal jargon. Follow real-world conventions, making information appear in a natural and logical order.

• Home screen

• All the terminology used seems to align with common travel booking practices. are familiar to users who have. There are no industry-specific jargon or technical terms that would likely confuse users.

• Improvement -The profile icon and label - more is slightly irrelevant “Account” could be more relevant.

• Search hotels

• Lack of Location Context -show the destination city or area.

• improvement - Informing users about the location (city or area) would improve the match with the real world, as users typically plan their travel dates around a specific destination.

• My bookings

• the "View as itinerary?" button's might be confusing to users and thus may not suite real-world conventions.
• Improvement - more natural word can - trip plan or travel plan.
